Gosh, our fall season is rushing upon us all…. while we have not had a heavy frost here yet, there have been many cool mornings with a coating of frost over all…

Our turkeys continue to thrive and grow and grow and GROW. ! We have them in large pens in the high tunnel and if they are out of food (frequently) and water, my goodness, the racket they put up !100 hungry feathery mouths loudly demanding food and water….hurry hurry HURRY !

This week marks the end of our outdoor market season, and while we continue to hear from our customers that they regret markets coming to an end, we have been blessed by excellent weather for our markets ,not having to cancel one all season long which is a rarity in itself…. Our weather will change soon for the “worst”, colder temps and blustery winds of course… and while enjoying the protection of our portable canopies, no one needs to be at risk of tents becoming flying weapons.. and I have been in many market situations where a sudden gust will lift our canopies for “take off” !

Our delivery schedule will remain the same this week, Friday deliveries will resume the week of Oct 31…..

I hope to hear from you all, please let me know if you desire a turkey to be reserved, all of our fresh turkeys will come with a packet of seasonings, and full instructions on the best way to roast your holiday centerpiece !

And as always, I appreciate your continuing support of local foods, our excellent small Maine farms and local hard working small business folks !

The leaves are falling! I do hope that you all have taken just a little break to drive through the wonderfully colored backroads and scenic over looks in our rugged state! The pumpkins ,gourds and leaves are in full color and on display, here at the shop and all along the farm stands on our rural roads. The winter crops are filling the cold storage bins for us to have an ample supply throughout the winter months. Here at the farm we will finish stacking firewood, load the hay bales into the high tunnel and tighten tighten tighten up the “ship” in readiness for the snow and cold heading our way…..this was the last open weekend for our “glamping” Tentrr site, we will pull that apart and pack the tent and all the supplies away until next spring…my big puppy boys have

begun to add a layer of winter undercoat to their thick fur, they and the sheep are in full cold weather preparation. And the turkeys! Honest to goodness, those never ending hungry mouths are really putting on the pounds and packing the food away….remember to reserve yours today… So, stay warm all, please let us know what we can provide you for local excellent foods, we can pack it up for Wednesday market (just a few of those left) or deliver Friday, whatever you might prefer.

I look forward to seeing and hearing from you all, grateful I am for your support and friendship ! Kath

Good day All!

What a gorgeous fall day! Sorry to be tardy with my list, we have been helping a good friend clear out her house so that she can move to a tiny home, and just now got back to the farm……

And did anyone ever say that a bright red pig could not (or should not) wear a tiara and pearls? Well we do like to break the etiquette rules just a tad around here… “Ruby” is our official greater at the entrance to the Red Shed on Sopers Mill Road… I have a bit more bling to add to her wardrobe, but she do be styling! Winter storage veggies are filling the bins and the colors , almost as beautiful as our foliage!

Drop me a line and let me know what we can pack up for your orders this week. I can deliver to Wednesday market or make Friday deliveries too.

Thankyou again for your ongoing support of our great local foods and excellent small Maine farms………stay well, AND

You are GREATFULLY appreciated!
